It's hard not to fall in love with Betty Halbreich after seeing the documentary Scatter My Ashes at Bergdorf's. The 86-year-old is the legendary personal shopper at Bergdorf Goodman, with her own fitting room, and her name on the elevator directory. She's funny, whether or not she intends to be, has impeccable taste, and is known for being brutally honest. She's got a new book coming out this week, a memoir with a title we love: I'll Drink to That.
We aren't suggesting that it's worth reading -- we're telling you that you need to read it. Betty is one of the ladies we admire most, and we're pretty sure that after reading her book, you'll love her, too.
